Sunday 3rd November saw 15 teams compete in the return of the annual district cub trek.
A 5 mile trek where the cubs were able to showcase their stamina, navigation and compass reading skills. The route was extremely muddy, which definitely was the fun part for all involved. Everyone was relieved when reaching the familiarity of Gilwell Park which meant that the teams would be on the home stretch to the finish line.
All the cubs performed brilliantly with many comments from the leaders of excellent behaviour and attitude within their teams. Special mention to Team 1 : Liam, Gabriel, Balasz and Lee who completed the trek in the fastest time of 3h 15mins and WON the trek with an impressive 77.5 points!! Congratulations!!!
Big thanks to all the leaders who gave up their time in practice and on the day to prepare and lead the cubs, superb team effort from all involved and another great win for the 22nd!
